RGB Daily started in late 2007 when its founder wanted us to develop a green news site where stories and news would be submitted by trusted publishers. Our main task was to enhance the social networking aspects of the site to provide a higher level of engagement. Over time that initial mission grew in scope as RGB Daily's founder responded to changes happening in social media.

In the first phase we developed a bare-bone site for news aggregation, reviewing, rating, and video integration. We used open source components and developed a modular framework that gave the project a rock-solid base. We focused a majority effort on fleshing out the user profiles for the system. Users had the ability to select profile themes, upload images to personal galleries, and message with each other using an innovative wall system.

In future revisions of the site we incorporated exciting branding developed by Jen Seng. The design was particularly challenging given the level of customization we provided in the user profile areas. We also began work on architectural enhancements for RGB Daily which most notably included a denormalized tagging framework for the topic system.

RGB Daily has adapted to the changing landscape of social media to provide a unique experience for it's users. Being involved at the inception phase was an exciting and challenging experience. We can't wait to see the big reveal.

RGBDaily.com is owned by RGBDaily LLC, Boston, USA and is currently preparing for general availability in Fall, 2009.
